Fellowship United Church of Christ

Sharing the Good News Through the Hand of Fellowship - COME AND SEE!

Fellowship UCC strongly believes in a ministry of outreach.
The following are highlights of mission activities:

  • Fellowship UCC is one of the Lake County sites for food distribution when persons call the 2-1-1 "first call for help" line.  Persons can get three days of non-perishable foods for their family, and they can access our pantry once per month.  We receive food annually from United Way, but the majority of our donations are directly from donations from parishioners.  We thank Sherry Boyce and her daughter Nancy who have overseen the workings of our pantry.  They make appointments with those who call and arrange a time that is convenient for the family to come to get the food.
  • We host LifeLine screenings, organize a holiday food drive for both Easter and Thanksgiving, and collect school supplies for local families
  • We collect mittens for the needy during winter, collect expired coupons and other items that can be donated to our overseas troops, collect used cards to donate to a local retirement community for re-purposing as handmade cards, and collect used eyeglasses that can be donated to those in need
  • We host 3 AA groups during the week, as well as Upside of Down’s events.
  • In the past, we hosted a speaker who spoke to our older members about alternative living options (assisted living, nursing homes, etc.) and good questions to ask when looking for such places. We also hosted a missionary from Chile to talk to us about her work there.
  • We strongly support our denominations Our Church's Wider Mission that serves persons here and abroad, and we are proud to boast being a "5-for-5" church!
